I posted this on January 6th, 2021. I stand by it. He didn't get impeached. He got elected a second time. He's a 34-time convicted felon. Now, compared to 5 years ago, more evidence exists that shows he's a rapist and a pedophile. His lies are countless. It doesn't matter. Americans still picked him to be our president a second time. I have family members who have bought his merchandise. I like to think we were raised right... It's all so embarrassing and hopeless, trying to get through to those people about him and what he stands for.
The last few sentences of Stephen King's apocalyptic novel The Stand are haunting. I'll paraphrase...
"Do people learn?"
...
"I don't know. I just, don't know."
It was an open-ended question for me until I saw the American people give him power again. This time, with a revenge complex, and a determination to surround himself exclusively with ass-kissers and enablers.
And now, my answer is no.
